Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)

La DCIM (Gestión de Infraestructuras de Centro de Datos) es la capacidad de ganancia en el rendimiento y la idea de unidad a través del centro de datos, incluyendo los activos del centro de datos e infraestructura física

La solución permite a las organizaciones convertir sus estrategias en planes reales, desde el punto de establecer sus metas a través de la visualización de sus bienes, modelización, control de cambios e informando sobre los resultados y la predicción de su futuro.

La DCIM se puede describir en seis etapas iniciales las cuales son:

  • Descubrir: No se puede gestionar lo que no se puede encontrar (La recolección de datos importantes acelera la implementación y mantenimiento de los activos).
  • Visualizar: Contabilizar los activos con los que cuenta el centro de datos.
  • Modelo: Gestionar de forma eficaz sus activos.
  • Control: Implementación del modelo realizado de los activos en el centro de datos.
  • Informe: Realizar el monitoreo adecuado de los cambios o implementaciones de los activos en los centros de datos (Obtención de datos en tiempo real).
  • Predecir: De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos en los cálculos e implementación realizar la predicción del comportamiento de los activos en un futuro dentro del centro de datos.

 

Nota:

Todos estos pasos se deben realizar periódicamente en forma de ciclo.
